Bell System Yellow Pages TV Commercial - 1978
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.10 лет назад
From the same year 2000 Albuquerque VHS I was assured by the seller I was purchasing the sole master of (snort), but I am beginning to see many offspring of online, a classic Bell System TV commercial from 1978. Includes a charming and very well-executed "pages turning" cel optics sequence.
KBIM-TV Roswell NM Station Sign Off - 1978
Просмотров 4,5 тыс.10 лет назад
You guys are better experts on sign offs than I am, so if you have any information about this station sign off, please share it. All I know is, this came from a videotape I acquired in Albuquerque. Looks like KBIM, Roswell, New Mexico, and the year is definitely 1978. Any other info both solicited and welcomed. The way television ended, back when television ended.
Joker's Wild Ending Theme - 1978
Просмотров 9 тыс.10 лет назад
The end of The Joker's Wild, a very entertaining Jack Barry/Dan Enright game show from the Seventies. This episode comes from a Los Angeles and Albuquerque edition of 1970s TV commercials I got hold of a decade ago and am finally getting around to digitizing/uploading. Enjoy, more to come!
Million Dollar Movie Theme - 1978
Просмотров 8 тыс.10 лет назад
The Million Dollar Movie lead-in. This somewhat surreal cartoon short played in front of many a movie in many an American home during the 1970's. This specific MDM comes to you from 1978, KCAL-TV Channel 9, Los Angeles.
Kal Kan Cat Food Commercial - 1978
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.10 лет назад
Anyone remember Kal Kan? I sure do. My pets ate this and Alpo. One thing, though, I remember even better is the mysterious way the vitamin sinks into each can of Kal Kan. This was before CGI... so just how do those blue pills get in there?
Imperial: The Butter of Margarines! - 1978
Просмотров 2,2 тыс.10 лет назад
A young pitchlady *insists* that margarine was butter. She even cites butter's famous aftertaste. Could it be true? You be the judge... Imperial: (Tah ta-ta Teeee!) The Butter of Margarines!
Hartz 2 In 1 Collar TV Commercial - 1978
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.10 лет назад
As a kid I used to be quite annoyed by the guitar noises used as effects while the pitchman is extending the collar. Now I just stare and wonder how they got the cat to keep so still near the end. (What'd they do, sedate it???) And what is it TALKING ABOUT???
Federated Group TV Commercial

If you lived in Los Angeles during the late 1970's, you may remember The Federated Group, kind of an upscale Radio Shack chain. Here's one of their commercials advertising cassette tapes at an unbeatable price.
Datsun: We Are Driven! TV Commercial - 1978

The famous car commercial with the even more famous jingle. "We arrrrrre DRIVEN!!!"
Big Fella TV Commercial

If you lived in the Los Angeles area during the late Seventies, you may remember seeing this guy and his Big Fella larger-men's department stores!
BEST BUY YELLOW SUBMARINE COMMERCIAL
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.10 лет назад
A Jimi Hendrix look-and-sound-alike joins several Beatley not-Beatles in a pretty close commercial homage to Brodax's and Edelmann's "Yellow Submarine", produced for Best Buy Corporation.
Technical Difficulties: Please Stand By
Просмотров 8 тыс.11 лет назад
In "the old days" (lol), TV stations used to broadcast interstitials like this one to keep you from changing the channel while they were suffering technical difficulties. I remember most of them featuring cute illustrations and uptempo jazz and library music like I've included, here. This is a fake technical difficulties segment I threw together this evening to serve as two minutes and forty-ni...
Eyedrop commercial starring TEC's Judy Graubart

Electric Company regular Judy Graubart ("Jennifer of the Jungle") stars in an ad for Norwich brand Ocusol eyedrops. Produced in the 1970's.
The Georgia Dept of Edu Film Library logo
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.11 лет назад
The State of Georgia Department of Education's Film Library logo. This black and white version later became blue with a gold seal and white letters. If you went to school in or around Atlanta in the Seventies, as soon as this logo's music starts it's going to take you back... expect tears! This logo was infamous and led in every single solitary school film we watched in Atlanta as kids.

Gumby - The REAL Small Planets (Yes, this is THAT one)
It doesnt look that scary though...
Art directors are John Mula & the late Donald Roberts the first syndicated season; Mula hereafter.
And people say modern entertainment is nightmare fuel. Look what they had for children's entertainment back in the 1960's!
Recorded from an earlier broadcast.
Horrifying! Peace.
Its the illuminati puting their face in front of us not the devil nor jesus made up to fool u for this deadass im not kidding revolutionaries will come
This was a part of my girlhood days. I also remember them from when each Lynda Carter special was bound to air.
Gumby is a belter
Haven't seen this since I was a kid. My parents were flabbergasted when gumby said " punk planet" 😹
Scary and Sad
Pokey is always the voice of reason.
I'm coming back to this video because I was watching some Electric Company episodes. I didn't really make the connection that a single actor did so many characters on the show until I grew up, like I didn't know that Judy was Jennifer of the Jungle, Julia Grownup, and so many other characters. I wonder if any other eye drops have a nose bridge to make it easier to line up the bottle to your eyes.
This was weirdly creepy to me as a kid
I had a crush on her back in the day! lol
The 810 was called the Nissan Bluebird in Japan.
Love hearing Datsun theme We are driven
Wizard of Oz time
I saw Gumby cartoons as a kid on video 37 years ago and this one scares me with the kid turning into a monster
I've been looking for that piano player ever since RUclips was a thing. i was never sure if it was just something from my imagination.... he scared the 💩 out of me as a kid. finally found it
Season premiere of Dallas the year Pam woke up and found Bobby in the shower after being dead a season.
I was listening to the soundtrack the other day. I thought that part of the cue sounded familiar
I need to make this into a text notification
Thank you for this!
So this is the full one? What news!
It did feel special, didn’t it?

You knew it was programming of legend when you saw this going down.
When this came on, you knew it was about to be lit!!!!!
Now it's how much news can we force on you by these networks.
Wth
Love the intro to this song as a kid
The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! Always after this ☺️
On special nights, me and my family would gather with popcorn and sippy cups and wait for either Garfield or Charlie Brown.
Man this takes me back! Used to love this as a kid....as an adult I still do. I miss the good ol days of television.😌💕
This logo meant something awesome was coming on or something lame was interrupting Dukes of Hazzard
GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I’m making this my text notification.
I could have sworn Family Guy did a parody of this bumper. Or maybe I thought that they did because this is the type of thing they'd do a parody spoof of.
The GLORIOUS _STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL!_ 😎👍
Am I the only one reminded of the SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES theme by the music?

FANTASTIC!!!😎👍📺🐕
Okay. I honestly don't know where to begin - don't ask why I found this. But this whole post is amazing. I'm a TV music lunatic and this deep dive is incredible. GREAT. JOB.
Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about. Clokey and nightmare fodder.
